We have had a high demand of roles recently which require specialist Tutors to work with students who present with complex and severe Mental Health Difficulties. Many of our students are struggling within mainstream education currently and are being temporarily or permanently excluded. This means they are not getting their statutory education entitlements and require specialist 1:1 tuition (both academic and pastoral) to bridge the gap while the Local Authority source a school placement for them. Predominantly, the referrals we receive across the city are for extremely disaffected students with many of the following conditions: Attachment Disorder  Eating Disorders Self-harmers  Anxiety and panic attacks Drug and alcohol misuse OCD Suicidal thoughts Sleep difficulties Low self-esteem/body dysmorphia Students who have been bullied Many of these students present with challenging behaviour, therefore we are looking for candidates who will consistently offer a nurturing approach and who can manage the students' anxiety and subsequent behavioural difficulties.


Senior Care Worker – Children's Residential School  Qualified Senior Care Worker = £22,360 + £50 per sleep-in  Hours: 40 per week on a shift basis  Essential requirements:  NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People or equivalent  2 years' experience of successful working with SEBD children, or within the SEN sector Evidence of knowledge and experience of behaviour management Wings School Cumbria is a residential special school for boys and girls between the ages of 9 – 17 years, which also offers day placements. The school supports children with social and emotional challenges that can sometimes affect their behaviour. We are looking for committed, supportive and passionate people to join our dynamic and friendly team of residential care workers. You will play a key part in the development and wellbeing of the children at Wings School, and in return will be supported to progress in your career.
