Education ⫽ SEN Support Jobs

SEN Support roles provide necessary assistance on a full-time or part-time basis, ensuring children with SEND get the support they deserve. Wherever help is needed, SEN Support workers are there to ensure the pupils feel supported. They work with teachers and parents, observing the strengths and weaknesses of their students, and seeing where they can provide strategies for improved success.

Learning Support Worker/Behaviour Support Worker - A Learning Support Worker helps to provide SEN pupils with assistance for high-quality education through the planning and delivery of learning activities.
Children who display challenging behaviours need a Behaviour Support Worker in order to help them focus and concentrate.

Behaviour Mentor/Learning Mentor - A Behaviour Mentor provides guidance and support to SEN learners so they can improve their behaviour in the classroom. Bad behaviour in the classroom can be disruptive for them and their fellow learners. A Learning Mentor provides guidance and support to SEN pupils but does so for social and emotional problems that affect their ability to learn.

Cover Supervisor - SEN Cover Supervisors are trained school staff who are able to carry out pre-planned classroom exercises on a short-term notice. Cover Supervisors will work in tandem with other SEN support workers, seeing to it that everyone has an equal learning opportunity in the absence of the classroom teacher.
