Inclusion Support Assistant - Castleford

You will be expected to complete online training to help develop your understanding of Education and child development, paired with a Full Time (Paid) position within one of our schools. Our enhanced Safeguarding pathway will help you to understand your role in child protection,how you can spot signs of abuse, how to ensure you are accurately reporting and assess how you can support students in protecting themselves whilst online. This course will teach you about personal and professional conduct in schools, the basics of teaching and learning, how to effectively work with other teachers and how you can go above and beyond to support your students. This course will cover aspects of Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Attachment Disorder, Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD and will give you a basic understanding of how you may need to change your approach to reach all of the pupils in your class. Senior Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEN HLTA)

Job Summary:
The Senior HLTA supports teachers and students in Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings, providing high-quality assistance to enhance learning and ensure student development. Support individual or small groups of students, ensuring they understand and complete tasks. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Address and manage challenging behavior following school policies. Participate in meetings and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs). Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions. Extensive experience working with SEN students, preferably in a school setting. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Occasional after-school meetings or activities may be required. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Providing general classroom assistance and delivering interventions to small groups within in the class aswell as supporting children with SEN. Supporting children with SEN
Assisting the Class Teacher in managing behaviour. A good team player be able to work with other staff and under direction of class teacher. All applicants will need a valid DBS and two references to trial for this role.
