If you have at least 6 months of experience working in SEN settings and have a QTS in Science we want to hear from you! Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to make the subject accessible and exciting for all students. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment. Provide personalised support and interventions to help students overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential. Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Stay updated on current best practices and innovations in teaching science to students with special needs. Attend regular safeguarding training and maintain a thorough understanding of safeguarding issues and protocols. Additional qualifications related to SEN (desirable). Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students. Working hours typically follow the school day, with additional hours for meetings, preparation, and training as needed.
