About the role
Connex Education is working with an SEMH Alternative School in Middlesbrough who are recruiting for a teacher to work full- time within an alternative educational setting delivering core subjects.
The school itself caters for pupils with a range of needs including
SEMH, ADHD, Attachment and Behaviour issues as well as a diverse backgrounds. As a SEND Teacher, you will be delivering Core subjects to KS3 and 4 Students on a 1:1 bases or within the small group classrooms.All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment. They are looking for a SEND Teacher who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils' education by supporting them.
Assignment Details
This role will commence as soon as you are cleared for work and will last for 6 weeks.

Person Specification
- Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH conditions.
- Hold a Qualified Teacher Status certificate.
- Be a subject Specialist in Science
- Knowledge of child development and learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must hold a DBS on update service or willing to apply for one.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt lessons as needed.
- Good organization and multitasking abilities.
