Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher to join our fantastic Alternative Learning Team in the Kirklees region!

If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people and enabling them to shape their own future, then we want you to be part of our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in educational and social development of students.
  • Working with children with SEN and/or children who have struggled in a school environment.
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group lessons in a variety of non school settings
  • Supporting children with learning and education based on their individual needs.

Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS Qualifications
  • Proven teaching and learning experience.
  • Up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.
  • Energy, passion, and drive to create exciting and engaging lessons for our pupils
  • Initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills.
  • Experience and a passion for working with students with SEN/SEMH in a 1-1 or small group setting
  • You will need to drive and have access to a vehicle for work as our students are taught either at their own home or in a community-based setting
