Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Highland, Highland, Nottingham

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £83 - £90 Per day

Qualifications: Level 3 teaching assistant, manual handling

Job Duties:
  • Supporting students with diverse needs
  • Assisting in implementing individual education plan targets
  • Utilising interventions and specialised equipment for student development
  • Providing emotional support and guidance
  • Collaborating with teachers and professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
  • Level 3 qualification or HLTA qualification
  • Degree in relevant field
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of Makaton and other communication strategies
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Patience and empathy in supporting students
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training in specific interventions such as music therapy or sensory occupational therapy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
