Job description

Role: SEN Teaching Assistants
Contract: Permanent
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour, depending on skills and experience (£19,370.70 to £21,122.66 actual salary)
Hours: 37 hours per week - Term Time Only

Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the delivery of individual and group education plans.
*Provide tailored support to students with a variety of special educational needs.
*Encourage students' academic, social, and personal development.
*Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
*Maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for all students.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate consistent support.

Requirements:
*A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the development of children with SEN.
*Experience in an educational setting, preferably with SEN students.
*NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or related fields.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to solving challenges.
*A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo checks).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
