Job description
We have an excellent opportunity for an Teaching Assistant to work in an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Primary School.
The school requires a caring and resilient individual, who is confident in supporting children with SEN.

The Role:
- The role is full time (5 days per week) for the successful candidate
- You will be supporting children with Autism, Social Communication Difficulties and associated behaviours in the Autism Resource Provision of a mainstream Primary School.
- The role will be to start as soon as possible and there will be an opportunity to apply permanently after two terms.
- The School offers personal development for all staff members, you will often have the opportunity to attend additional training.
The School:
- The Autism Resource Provision (ARP) caters for children aged 4 - 11 years old with Autism, Social Communication Difficulties, Complex Needs and associated behaviours.
- The classes are small with 6 - 8 children per class
- The Teacher is amazing and is relentless in her drive for continued improvement.
- The curriculum is presented and supported in a variety of ways. It is practical, functionally based and supports lifelong learning.
The Candidate:
- Will have UK classroom experience
- Ideally have experience working with children with Autism and associated behaviours.
- PECS, MAKATON, TEAACH or TEAM TEACH would be an advantage but not necessary.
- Excel at building great relationships with pupils and staff
- Have a current DBS on the update service or be prepared to put one in to process
- Be available to start on 2nd September 2024 and continue for the Academic Year.
