Job description

Job title: Outdoor Education Instructor

Location: Worcester

Pay: £120 - 180 per day

Start: ASAP

Temp - perm

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outdoor Education Instructor / Teacher join our team at an SEMH secondary school in Worcester. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor education and experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging outdoor education activities for students with SEMH needs
  • Support students in developing skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience through outdoor learning experiences
  • Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate outdoor education into the curriculum and support the overall social and emotional development of students
  • Monitor and assess student progress in outdoor education activities and provide feedback to support their personal growth and development
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment during outdoor excursions and activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, outdoor education, P.E, Sports Coaching or a related field
  • Qualified teacher status is not essential however you must have relevant experience
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs or SEND
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging outdoor education and/or P.E activities
