We are looking to recruit an outstanding Head Teacher to join our team at Riverbank School!
Role:
Position: Head Teacher
Location: Ripponden, West Yorkshire
Hours: Full time; Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
School: A specialist school helping young people to overcome social and emotional barriers to learning, with capacity for 20 students aged 5-11 with complex SEMH needs.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running and management of the school, including management of teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Under reasonable duties of the Director of Education, carrying out the professional duties of a Head teacher as set out in current teacher standards.
- Managing the day-to-day running of the Riverbank School.
- Leading the development of curriculum timetables.
- Implementing strategies to ensure the SEMH needs of all children in the school are met.
- Ensuring the needs of all staff and children in the school are met.
Requirements:
- Experience leading a school.
- Experience managing an education staff team.
- Leadership and management experience (essential).
- Experience of working with children with an EHCP.
- Experience of working as a SENCo, with a SENCo qualification (desirable).
- PGCE with QTS.
- Able to teach a range of subjects in line with the National Curriculum.
- Experience of working with children with SEMH needs (preferred, though not essential).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a passion for bettering the lives of children and young people who require help and educational support.
- A willingness to undertake further training in order to become Safeguarding Lead.
