Job description

Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Worthing, West Sussex (roles available in surrounding areas)

Pay: £83-£90 per day

Work type: Full time/Part time available

Teaching Personnel work alongside multiple Primary schools in Worthing and the surrounding areas of West Sussex who require support across year groups. In this role, you will be required to build a trusting relationship with the children and the team and play a key role in ensuring the happiness and welfare of the children within a safe and stimulating environment. You will be supporting the Teacher in the classroom and helping the children maintain focus and understand the tasks provided.

The applicant will be expected to hold experience in the Education or Care sector working with young individuals and knowledge in SEN/SEMH would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment for the children.
  • Required to assist with educational activities.
  • Share development progress information with team.
  • Promote high standards of pupil attainment and support in and out of the classroom.

Candidate Specifications

  • Previous experience of working within Education or the Care sector.
  • Excellent understanding of children's requirements.
  • Knowledge of the statutory legislation concerning health & safety and safeguarding of children.
  • Child DBS on the update service (or willing to complete a new one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
