Sports Coach

Fantastic pay rates between £400.00- £500.00, per week!

Monarch education are recruiting Sports Coach to work in a fantastic partnership SEN school in the Fishponds, BS16, area of Bristol.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about having a positive impact on primary, secondary and post 16 pupils, with special educational needs, through the medium of sports.


The School is keen to have sports graduates to work in their classrooms and if you have already supported children or young people in any capacity (mainly sports), this might be the opportunity for you.

About:

These exciting opportunities are both full- time and long-term. The school is led by a dedicated senior leadership team, providing a cultural environment of guidance, progression and continual support in the role. The hours at the school are 8.45-15:45, Monday to Friday and term time only.

For the right candidate/s, we will offer introductions to the school. This position will go permanent, with the opportunities starting ASAP/April 2024. These exciting opportunities will help to secure your dream September role.

In these environments, you will be supporting individual students on either a 1:1, or group basis, between the ages of 2-19. Your students may have SEND needs including autism, profound multiple learning disabilities, severe learning difficulties and speech and language difficulties. Under the guidance of the class teacher you'll be supporting students, to achieve defined progression with their educational health care plan, progressional targets, aiding their development, both socially and in their education. You will help in maintaining discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with your pupil/s.

This opportunities are on a full-time, long term basis, which is term time only. This outstanding SEN school also offers support with development and qualifications in the role including the Team Teach qualification.


The suitable candidate will be any of the following:

- Any Sport coaching Degree or Qualifications or experience.

- Any sports science or related degree.

- Willingness to work sometimes as a teaching assistant which might not involve any sporting activities.

- Suitable for NQT's or qualified teachers

- Qualified Teaching Assistant/s

- Previous experience as a probation officer

- Previous health care or support/social working experience

- Graduate in the following topic/s- Acting, Music, Performing Arts, Psychology

- Previous SEND Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant with experience

- 3/6 Months Experience of working with children

- Sports Coach background

- Available to start ASAP!


*When you will do some shifts as a Teaching Assistant, you will be assisting the teacher delivering lessons and helping vulnerable pupils.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

* Have a right to work in the UK
* Provide one recent child based reference (if possible) and relevant DBS/Police checks (we can support with your DBS application).
