SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) required in Wakefield!
Maze Recruitment Group (MRG) are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant (SEN TA). We are working with a mainstream Primary School in Wakefield who are looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within KS1 supporting a specific pupil during the day.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) you will support a student in KS1 with Autism and challenging behaviour who requires additional support during class time.
The Role:
- Working both in full class support and 1-1 support.
- Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task.
- Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil.
- Support the class teacher with any additional duties.
Requirements:
- Experience working with people with learning difficulties is essential.
- Experience in a SEN education setting is ideal.
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
- Phonics training/knowledge desirable.
- Candidate must have a caring, calm nature.
