The school require someone who:
· Holds at least one year's experience of working within a school (desirable but not essential)
· Holds a teaching assistant qualification or relevant degree (or be willing to work towards a qualification)
· Can evidence a good attendance record with previous employers
· Confident behaviour management skills and be willing to undertake training to keep your skills up to date
· Will be able to quickly build relationships with children and staff
· Must be willing to work hard, and go above and beyond with the learner at the core of what you do
· Has a valid and up to date DBS (or willing to make a new application)
The main duties within the role will be:
· Working 1:1 or with small groups for inventions
· Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics
· Liaising with the class teacher around pupil progress
· Helping the class teacher to engage pupils in lessons
· Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom
