Job description
Are you a caring and compassionateperson, lookikng for a new role and wanting to make a real difference?
We need an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within an OFSTED rated 'good' school in Melksham, starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting two pupils in KS2.
- Ensuring that pupils are engaged in whole class sessions, and adapting and modifying learning activities (under direction and supervision of the class teacher)
- Assessing and reporting on development, progress and attainment.
- Supporting both pupils with their social and emotional wellbeing, reporting any concerns to the class teacher as appropriate.
Requirements:
- A secure understanding of the Primary curriculum, strong behaviour management skills, and previous experience of working with pupils with SEN.
- Willing to commit to a long-term position to ensure consistency for the children.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience of working with children with SEN
- Committed to long-term role
- Strong behaviour management skills
- DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months
Benefits:
