Job description
We are recruiting multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a mainstream Primary School in Cheltenham. These roles are to begin in September for the new academic year. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with primary aged children who have severe autism and PMLD (profound multiple learning difficulties).
The Primary school we are working with have an Ofsted rating of "Good" and are based near the St. Pauls area of Cheltenham with great public transport links.
The SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) would need to have previous experience working with SEN children and must be committed to a long-term post. The position is to begin in September and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year.
Required skills and experience for the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) role.
- Qualified minimum level 2 Teaching assistant or equivalent.
- SEN experience is essential for this role.
- Experience working in a nursery or primary school setting.
- Commitment to long term post.
- Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
- A clear DBS on the update service.
- A passion for working with children.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
- Provide safety to the class children.
