Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with an SEN school in the DE3 area of Derby. The school caters for secondary aged students that have High Functioning Autism. We work closely with the school providing them with Teaching staff on a day to day basis. As the school caters for SEN students one of the most important things is staff continuity - therefore if you get on well within the school you will be requested to return.
Teaching Personnel require a Tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with a Looked After Child in the Mansfield area (NG19). The child is Year 10 and is working towards either Functional Skills Maths and English, or GCSE subjects. The student has experienced significant trauma throughout his life and therefore requires a very sensitive, nurturing approach. He is particularly disengaged so will require someone who is able to persevere despite disengagement, helping to build up a trusting relationship with him and eventually encouraging him to undertake more academic educational work.
We are seeking a part time, for 2 terms, SEN one-to-one Learning Support Assistant to work with a boy (who has ADHD and ASD) in Year 3 at his pre-prep school. He is high-functioning and very able, but does have some difficulty completing his work and staying on task. This is a short term role to give him confidence to work on his own. The role will commence immediately and will end early July 2020.
