We have had a high demand of roles recently which require specialist Tutors to work with students who present with complex and severe Mental Health Difficulties. Many of our students are struggling within mainstream education currently and are being temporarily or permanently excluded. This means they are not getting their statutory education entitlements and require specialist 1:1 tuition (both academic and pastoral) to bridge the gap while the Local Authority source a school placement for them. Predominantly, the referrals we receive across the city are for extremely disaffected students with many of the following conditions: Attachment Disorder  Eating Disorders Self-harmers  Anxiety and panic attacks Drug and alcohol misuse OCD Suicidal thoughts Sleep difficulties Low self-esteem/body dysmorphia Students who have been bullied Many of these students present with challenging behaviour, therefore we are looking for candidates who will consistently offer a nurturing approach and who can manage the students' anxiety and subsequent behavioural difficulties.
