The Headteacher and SENCO of a large Primary School in Blackburn are on the lookout for a pastoral support worker to work closely alongside the SENCO to identify children in school who require additional SEMH support because of lockdown and the pandemic. The school have seen a huge demand for additional support since the pandemic began in March 2020 and they have many children in school who have struggled with their mental health because of lockdown. This is a new role in school supporting the school's SENCO, no two days are the same at this school and the role will be diverse and involve liaising with outside agencies, providing support to individual and small groups of children, liaising with class teachers regarding individual children and writing tailored IEP's.
