We are delighted to be working alongside one of our partner schools in the Derby area who are looking to add a teaching assistant to their team to work alongside their pupils. The role will be part time (Mon-Fri) working afternoons only and will be contracted until the end of July 2021. The school require someone who: Has an understanding of how to work with pupils with challenging behaviours Holds at least one years' experience of working within a school Holds a teaching assistant qualification or relevant degree Has a fantastic attendance record and will be reliable Will be able to quickly build relationships with children and staff Is available to work from April 2021 Has a valid and up to date DBS The main duties within the role will be: Working 1-2-1 with children who have: Autism, ADHD & behavioural challenges Leading small academic sessions with pupils on the SEN register Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around pupil progress Helping the class teacher to engage SEN pupils in lessons Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom Applications will only be accepted if you meet the above criteria.

We have an exciting opportunity for a position of a Sport & Learning Mentor at a school based in the DE21 area. The school is an outstanding school and is easily reachable from the city centre The main duties within the role are: Supporting a pupil with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis Providing in class support to help with engagement levels Using sports as a reward for the child Leading break and lunch time clubs around sport Liaising with the class teacher around pupil progress Being a positive role model to the children Running after school sports clubs The school are looking for someone who: Has experience working in a primary school Comes from a sporty background Can support children with challenging behaviour Is a great communicator This role will be starting at the beginning of the summer tern and will be a fixed contract until the end of the 2021 academic year.
