Are you seeking a role in the Blackburn, East Lancashire area?  Teaching Personnel are seeking a hard working, empathetic, resilient and compassionate Behaviour Mentor for a role in a Blackburn based SEN School. The School caters for pupils with additional needs including; Autism, ADHD, SEMH Difficulties, Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviours. The School in question is smaller than average and caters exclusively for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education!

A specialist school in Blackburn are seeking a KS1 Teacher ASAP to support the needs of their pupils across KS1, to cover a maternity.  Class sizes will be smaller than average and pupils in school have social, emotional and mental health difficulties, may have suffered trauma / family breakdowns and are in need of a positive role model to support them in their return to school following the covid19 outbreak. You will have sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and the ability to differentiate for those who may be working at a slightly lower level or whom may have fallen behind in the last 6 months. You must have experience supporting children of a challenging nature, ideally in a PRU, as these pupils can sometimes be violent and / or aggressive in their behaviours & language.

I am currently looking for a Teaching Asssitant to support the needs of pupils with SEN on a small group and 1:1 basis.  The school caters for students aged 11 to 19 years (secondary phase with post 16 -19) who are in receipt of an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) or Statement of Special Educational Needs regarding their identified Learning Difficulties. The school caters for a wide range of different needs but the majority of students main identified need is associated with language and cognition difficulties (SLD/MLD/GLD). The students also display a second need which is usually associated with speech language or communication needs (SLCN), Autistic Spectrum (ASD), Hearing Impairment (HI), Visual Impairment (VI) Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) as well as a variety of physical or medical disabilities or conditions.
