The School We are currently recruiting for a core subjects tutor in English, Maths and Science, to work 1:1 with children in hospital provisions. You will be working through the local authority on various assignments providing 1:1 tuition with young people aged from 5-16 years of age who are currently unable to attend school due to long term or serious illness, and require face to face learning at their bedside. The candidate The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality, and be able to work on their own initiative in regards to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children. You will ideally have experience of working on a 1:1 with a variety of ability levels, from GCSE to Functional Skills, and the ability to differentiate subject material efficiently and quickly depending on individual needs.

We are currently working alongside a SEMH school within the Tameside area, to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work with children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs and associated challenging behaviour and other learning difficulties, As a result of this you would be supporting the teacher in classes of no more than 10 pupils. Your role will mainly involve supporting the pupils with their new routines and classes, helping them to adapt to school both academically and socially.  You will be working with children and young people who are not able attend mainstream education for multiple reasons, such as Anxiety, Exclusion, Physical and mental health issues, disabilities and learning difficulties. We are recruiting a Maths Teacher on behalf of our partner SEMH secondary school in Tameside for a post commencing after the Easter holidays in April 2021. This is a full time Maths teaching post delivering the Edecxel curriculum across KS3, KS4 with the timetable consisting of GCSE classes. As well providing Additional courses for those less competent.  Starting in April the post will be for a term initially with the option to earn a school-based Maths contract in September 2021.

The role Working as part of a dynamic and creative SEND team, the successful LAC Teaching Assistant will focus on delivering 1:1 support to a designated Looked After Child (LAC) within the classroom and in 1:1 sessions for the duration of the position, whilst also providing general classroom support if required.
