We are seeking an experienced Youth Mentor to work in various schools in Birmingham to work on a flexible basis. The schools require mentors with experience working with disengaged students and students with learning difficulties to provide support on an ad-hoc basis. About the role: Working with groups of primary and secondary aged students in non-mainstream education. Deliver support and help where needed as a Youth Mentor.


We are working with a specialist school in Birmingham (B13) who cater for children with profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) who are looking for a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to join their team full time.  The needs of the pupils within the provisions vary from complex needs to challenging behaviour and SEMH needs. These schools support the growth and development of pupils aged between 11-18 years and are responsible for devising a personalised curriculum for each child. The role will be working with a small class of 10-12 students in Ks3 and in the class you will be supported by 3-4 teaching assistants / learning support assistants.

About the role: This is a full time, long term role which will commence as soon as possible, at an excelled SEND school in North Birmingham  Assisting the class teacher to provide a tailored curriculum to the students on both a 1:1 and small group basis. Engaging students, encouraging and nurturing their learning, and ensure they achieve progression. Working with students of both Primary and Secondary age who have visual impairments.
