Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of work - Supporting students with Complex Needs, SLD,
PMLD & Autism
Start date - February 2021 or ASAP
Contract type - Temporary/Permanent
Full time/part time - Full or part time Monday to Friday
Minimum rate of pay - £65 per day
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the
SEN Teaching Assistant role:
Previous LSA experience is required, ideally within the SEN
Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right
attitude and desire.
A passion for working with children with SLD, PMLD &
Autism
Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with
class activities.
You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive
attitude towards working with SEN students.
Happy to undertake personal care responsibilities
To be eligible as an SEN Teaching Assistant role through
Prospero Teaching you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered
with the online update service or be willing to process a new
application
Provide two professional child related references

that require extra support.

We are working closely with government organisations to help
with the recent demand in essential workers within the Social Care
Sector.
Due to recent measures, they are looking for individuals to
assist in roles such as:
Care Workers and Assistants
Child Care Officers (residential and ready to cover waking
night shifts)
Support Workers
As well as a various other positions required to assist with the
elderly, following a range of duties such as exchanging routine
information, administering prescribtion medication, and other
social and physical tasks.
Candidates must have:
Enhanced DBS on the update service
NVQ Level 2 in direct care or health and social care(and
equivalent courses)
Experience with working with vulnerable clients (including:
elderly persons, individuals with learning disabilities, and child
care)
Administration of medication certificate, knowledge of First
Aid, and experience with Manual handling
Willingness to undertake training and work day shifts and
working night shifts
Must have 5 years references and able to cover any gaps
All candidates must have an enhanced DBS, and be fully compliant
