The role  As a Targeted Youth Support Worker at this school you will be tasked with keeping pupils engaged in their work, working alongside the class teacher to deliever work as well as managing behaviour and responding to incidents. In addition, you will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with parents and carers at home to encourage attendence and also commitment to learning. The school This school is an Alternative Provision in West Bradford that caters for pupils who for reasons such as behaviour, mental health issues or safegaurding concers have been removed from mainstream education. This Alternative Provision provides both traditional qualifications and also vocational qualifications such as Animal Care (as the school has an on site farm) as well as Construction and Childcare.

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join work in Pupil Referral Units and Alternative provisions. You will be supporting either with small groups or 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may have Special Educational Needs. We only pay PAYE, we do not work with umbrella companies. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to pupils lives and their experience of school, especially those who have become disengaged from education.
