About the Role:
As a Specialist ARB Teacher, you will:
✔️ Plan and deliver high-quality, personalised learning for students aged 11-16 with complex needs
✔️ Create inclusive and engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
✔️ Support students in both the ARB setting and integrate them into mainstream education where appropriate
✔️ Work closely with multi-agency teams, SEN specialists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students
✔️ Promote a positive and supportive learning environment
✔️ Be part of a collaborative and ambitious team dedicated to SEND education
What We're Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in an SEN or ARB setting
✅ Strong understanding of complex learning difficulties, EHCPs, and personalised education plans
✅ A positive and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs
✅ Experience working in a multi-agency environment to improve student outcomes
✅ Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
✅ A passion for developing teaching and leadership skills within a specialist setting

Your duties will include:
✔️ Maintaining Health & Safety compliance and property inspection records
✔️ Carrying out general maintenance and repairs to buildings and grounds
✔️ Acting as a key holder, ensuring security at all times, including alarm operation
✔️ Assisting with meeting/event setups and ensuring site safety
✔️ Monitoring the condition of fire extinguishers and emergency equipment
✔️ Reporting any major defects or repairs needed and liaising with contractors
✔️ Supporting the Premises Supervisor and covering in their absence
What We're Looking For:
✅ Minimum 2 years' experience in building and grounds maintenance
✅ Ability to work independently and use initiative
✅ Strong practical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
✅ Good communication skills and comfortable working around young people
✅ Knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and health & safety
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Level 2 NVQ, GNVQ, or 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above)
🎓 Suitable trade qualification (or relevant experience)
🎓 Level 1 qualifications may be considered with extensive experience
💻 Proficiency in Windows/IT systems/MS Office
⚠️ Health & Safety experience in the workplace
