We are looking for EYFS TA to provide long term cover in a primary school based in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be supporting children in small groups and on a one to one basis. The role is to start in November and is potentially for the full academic year for the right candidate. Many schools also book EYFS TA's for emergency cover, so if you are looking for just a few days' work each week this option is available.

We are currently working closely with a school based in central Sheffield who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis to start asap. The successful candidate will be supporting a child on a one to one basis within a year 3 classroom. The Role: Your responsibilities will include; Classroom support - activities, organisation, engagement, behaviour, emotional support Working with children on a one to one basis or in small groups Support in therapy sessions Break/Lunch time supervision Keeping progress reports To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you need; An enthusiastic and attentive personality Experience working with children in education or in a similar setting Experience as Teaching Assistant (preferable but not essential) Experience in education/ school environment (preferable but not essential) Teaching Assistant qualification (preferable but not essential) Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Working hours are usually Monday to Friday, 8.

These provisions are set up to provide a small group living or solo occupancy environment in order to provide a homely setting.  The provisions allow our clients to receive targeted support and close supervision, eliminating the issues of lack of engagement whilst ensuring our client does not feel overwhelmed and / or crowded.  Our placements are suitable for those who require well- structured living options with strict boundaries.  Our placements are specifically tailored to meet the individuals needs and as such the level of support offered is tailored as required; this can range from 5 hours floating support per week to 24-hour on-site support where our clients require close and regular support.
