Teaching Personnel are working with an SEN school in the DE7 area who are looking for Teaching Assistants to work on a day to day basis from September 2020. The school cater for students with Speach and Language difficulties therefore we are looking for people that expierence in either Makaton or BSL. Teaching Personnel are looking for a tutors to work 1:1 with a variety students, including Looked After Children, Children who have been excluded or present with Anxiety and SEMH. We are looking for a tutor to support this students in a library or community settings. The ideal candidate for this role will: A confident Teaching Assistant with experience delivering/implementing specific interventions either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups Knowledgeable and experienced working within the GCSE and or Functional Skills curriculum Confident to work on a 1:1 basis with a student who are very disengaged from education, using innovative measures and resources to re-engage Able to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams including school staff and LAC officers to ensure that progress is tracked on a regular basis Someone who can act as a positive role model to help the student re-engage with her education.
