We are delighted to be working alongside one of our partner schools in the Nottinghamshire area who are looking to add a Teaching Assistant to their team to work alongside their pupils who present with challenging behaviours. The role will be full time (Mon-Fri) on a long term to permanent basis. The school require someone who: Has an understanding of how to work with pupils with challenging behaviours Holds at least one years' experience of working within a school Holds a teaching assistant qualification or relevant degree Has a fantastic attendance record and will be reliable Will be able to quickly build relationships with children and staff Is available to work from January 2022 Has a valid and up to date DBS The main duties within the role will be: Working 1-2-1 with children who have: Autism, ADHD & behavioural challenges Leading small academic sessions with pupils on the SEN register Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around pupil progress Helping the class teacher to engage SEN pupils in lessons Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom Applications will only be accepted if you meet the above criteria.
