Protocol Education are looking for strong behavioural support workers to work at Pupil Referral Units and other non-mainstream settings in and around the Wakefield area. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an SEMH environment and hold a real determination to improve the prospects of young people from problematic backgrounds. We would welcome applicants with a history of Social Work, Youth Work, Residential or Community Support, Classroom Support, as well as ex-services personnel. Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Maths Teacher at an alternative education setting in Wakefield The position is on a full-time basis. The school is currently open. The setting caters for learners with an EHCP plan for Social Emotional and Mental Health needs as well as other complex needs. Responsibilities: • Ideally a driver • Teaching or learning qualification • Worked with vulnerable pupils in alternative education settings- leading activities/educational based work • Experience of dealing with challenging behaviours • Ability to teach a wide range of abilities, from KS 2-4.
SEND Learning mentors offer support and guidance to children and young people who experience difficulties with their learning. As a learning mentor working for Protocol Education, you'll work closely with children who are struggling with social, emotional or behavioural problems that impact their ability to learn. You'll work alongside teachers and other staff, figuring out the needs of learners who require help and how to overcome barriers that are preventing them from achieving their full potential. You'll work with a range of learners, but give priority to those who need the most help, especially those experiencing multiple disadvantages.

Protocol Education are currently recruiting care support workers for a special needs school with young people, aged 3 - 19 who have severe and complex learning difficulties and learners with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory difficulties. The aim of our school is to provide an inspired and practical learning environment with a focus upon success and the development of citizenship and life skills. This role requires perseverance, confidence and determination as you may need to handle challenging situations strongly, therefore you will need to be prepared. You will need to be flexible, have plenty of enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work 1-1 or with small groups on specific programmes if required.
Creative Classroom Assistant We are looking for individuals trained in Drama, Sports, Art and Music to inspire children with PMLD and/or ASC to develop their skills and interests in a safe and caring school environment. You will be working in a specialist SEND school/provision with a high-quality team, dedicated to creative development and social and physical development for their students as well as academic process. RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER - RSW Candidates applying for the role will be supporting with children with learning difficulties, autism , mental health problems and /or complex needs between the ages of 9 and 18. Candidates applying for this role would ideally have previous experience within the field and NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People would be advantageous. The role will become permanent for the RIGHT person. You will be required to work in partnership with the school, parents or carers and other agencies.
Protocol Education are looking for Teachers that are interested in working in special needs schools with children that have PMLD, ASD and speech and language difficulties in the Sheffield area as they require daily supply cover for staff absenses and increase in student levels. As a SEN teacher you will be teaching students a variety of subject that include; numeracy, literacy, and sensory integration. Class sizes are small with multiple support staff in each room.
