About the role
This is a role to support young people aged 12 - 16 years, with
Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties within a
specialist school setting in Northumberland. Staff will be there to
support students in lessons, at break times and on school trips.
The role will initially be a supply position, but for the right
candidate, it will be made permanent.
We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to
join our join our successful supply agency team and work in a
school in the Northumberland local authority.
About the role
Working as part of an energetic and creative team, the
successful 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant will focus on delivering
support to children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
in a Secondary School. This position will be on a supply basis
between Monday to Friday. Part time and full time positions are
available and can can be long term, short term or day to day.
We are currently working in partnership with a specialist
service that caters for Young People with Social, Emotional and
Mental Health difficulties, who often present challenging
behaviours.
About the role
The successful candidate will be providing both academic and
emotional support to the students on a daily basis, often having to
implement a nurturing and caring approach to their support style,
as well as having to defuse difficult and challenging
behaviours.
About the school
The school caters for some of the areas most disengaged young
learners, all of whom will have Educational Health Care Plans in
place and will be classed as vulnerable.
Requirements

you will:
Previous experience of working with children, young people and
adults who have Social and Emotional Mental Health Difficulties,
and other needs.
We are seeking Early Career Teachers from September 2022 to work
in long term and permanent roles in our client schools in
Northumberland.

Primary and Secondary Special School's from September 2022. We

practitioners to fantastic schools in the area. We are looking to
hear from passionate and determined Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
who are looking to start their career in teaching.
We are recruiting on behalf of a dedicated Secondary SEMH
provision in Northumberland, for a number of Learning Support staff
to begin in September.
About the role
As a Learning Support mentor, you will be responsible for both
the pastoral and academic well-being of students in Key Stage 3 and
4, that struggle with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health
(SEMH). You will also accompany students on outdoor activities and
school trips. These roles are due to start ASAP.
We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and passionate Teacher of
SEND to work within a special school in the Northumberland Local
Authority.
