Special Needs Support Assistant  Job description We are searching for Special Needs Support Assistants to work within a Special schools within the Gateshead Local Authority. These schools and provisions cater for children from Early Years through to Post-16 with a range of different needs such as Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties. To be suitable for the Special Needs Support Assistant Role: Be available for work 5 days a week, Monday-Friday Have experience in Special Education or Care. Have access to a car and be willing to travel for work.


We are recruiting on behalf of The Behaviour Support Service and we are looking to appoint a highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a sporting background who is ready to meet the challenge of working with students with complex needs.  Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team are required. The post holder will deliver PE to small groups under the guidance of teaching staff and act as a support for curriculum subjects within the service. The centre caters for students across KS3 and 4.


Youth Offending Learning Support Gateshead £10.00 per hour Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience for this position is 6 months working with young offenders, young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties or working within a residential home with looked after children, or a similar role. Contract dates As soon as possible   We are recruiting for a Young Offenders Learning Support to work with young people aged between 11 and 17 that have been placed into care by the youth justice board (YJB) as a result of a crime that they have been convicted of.


SEND Learning Support Assistant Gateshead £10.00 per hour   Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience for this position is 4-6 weeks supporting young people or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). Contract dates As soon as possible We are currently seeking a full time Learning Support Assistant to work in a school in the Gateshead local authority.
