We recruit and supply teachers and other support staff for primary, secondary and SEND schools and other learning institutions. Our branches are located all across the country. Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant September York Secondary School Full / part time  £350 - £400 per week We are currently recruiting skilled SEN specialist teaching assistants to work within a large York Primary School on a flexible supply basis. The Role: As an SEN teaching assistant, the role can vary from school to school and can include the following duties;  Academic support  Behaviour mentor  Assistance with communication Run or assist with Nurture groups Personal care and toilet training  Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups Nurturing children's physical, social and emotional welfare Keep records and attend review meetings Requirements As an SEN teaching assistant you will work with children with a range of SEN such as Autism, ADHD, SLCN, and PD, so experience in one or more of there areas, or moving and handling training would be desirable.  To be a successful in this role you will: • Have a minimum of 1 year's experience working within a school or care setting  • Be able to promote a safe and positive learning environment • Mentor and engage with the pupils, successfully delivering specifically designed educational packages We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. The Role: We are working with a number of Secondary and SEN schools throughout the area, recruiting for a number of Teaching Assistant roles. As a Teaching Assistant some of  duties may include, the role can vary from school to school and can include the following duties;  Academic support  Behaviour mentor  Assistance with communication Working with pupils with various SEN Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups Nurturing children's physical, social and emotional welfare Keep records and attend review meetings Once cleared for work you will have the option to take on longer term roles in individual schools, or chose day to day supply cover which could see you working at different schools each week (within a 15 mile radius).
