Team Teach Qualified TA – Birmingham Are you a TEAM TEACH qualified teaching assistant? Are you looking for a behaviour support role where you can impact on a young child's learning and behaviour? Some of the students are non-verbal. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: Experience working in a school or residential setting with Autistic children, or any experience working with Autistic children and/or adults Calm and patient personality which helps to enable students to become more independent and promote confidence and self-esteem Experienced managing challenging behaviour and implementing communication aids such as Makaton and PECS, for non-verbal students and those with impaired communication Confident to implement and follow Individual Education Plans and be willing to contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans with the support of the class teacher Be willing to get involved in extra-curricular activities including residential trips into the community Experienced assisting and supporting students to develop independence through vocational studies such as hygiene, cooking, shopping and budgeting.


We are currently seeking new Learning Support Assistants in central Southampton to work within a Primary Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) School catering for pupils with complex needs. The attending pupils have mixed ability but are working across the Primary Curriculum but commonly at low level. Applicants will be mainly working in a classroom supporting teachers and fellow support workers on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with pupils, however pupils are allowed a lot of opportunity for outdoor time as well as access to local swimming pool on Fridays. This brings a very rewarding opportunity for any sporty orientated candidates.


We are currently seeking new Behavioural Support Assistants in the Andover area to work in a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health provision catering to pupils with complex needs. The needs of attending pupils are varied, but may include: Behavioural difficulties Anti-social and disengaged behaviour ADHD The Role: Applicants will be working in a classroom supporting teachers and fellow support workers on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with pupils. The role will operate between 8:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday. Full time is preferred but part time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available.
