Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a SEN specialist school in Newcastle (NE2) who are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with a variety of additional needs. The role will require you to support with classroom based tasks and also work on a 1:1 basis supporting children with a range of special educational needs including; Learning disabilities Social and Emotional Difficulties ADHD ACES Autism Although the role is based in a secondary school, our client is happy to consider candidates with a passion for education who come from care work backgrounds. Candidates with qualifications in Health and Social Care, Counselling Skills are also highly desired. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled and passionate team.


Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with experience working with young people with on a one to one basis? We are currently working with a school based in Brighton & Hove that cater for students (aged between 7-16) with complex social and or emotional needs, most children will have an Education, Health and Care Plan that identifies additional learning disabilities and/or difficulties. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with young people with Social, Emotional or Mental Health Difficulties, experience within an Alternative Provision is not essential. Due to the needs of the students you will need to be resilient and robust enough to deal with challenging behaviour.


Teaching Personnel are working with a Brighton based Special Needs school that is looking to recruit prospective future teachers who can fulfil the role of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to start with them in October/November for the remainder of the academic year or until May half term at least. The successfully appointed future teacher(s) would start with the school as soon as possible but ideally no later than the Monday 2nd November (following the half term). As the new cohort of students start at school, the successful Learning Support Assistants will be supporting students across the age range gaining further experience and skills to equip them for a future career as a teacher. There are a number of opportunities for graduates given multiple requirements at this school.


Are you an experienced behaviour support assistant looking for a new challenge? Teaching Personnel are searching for confident support/teaching assistants to join a Pupil Referral Unit in the Middlesbrough area. Roles are currently available on a day to day (bank work) and long term basis as the school settles into the new academic year and new referrals are commencing in school. We are searching for candidates with experience working in specialist units, or experience responding to SEMH needs.


Learning Support Assistant Ideally, you will have some experience of SEN/ SEND in a learning environment but this is not essential if you show a strong desire to work with their young people. They welcome applications from people with or without experience, or suitably qualified professionals who are passionate about working with children with special educational needs and disabilities. A vibrant school in the Patchway area are seeking an Autism specialist Support Worker to help promote the learning and personal development of its pupils. All the children have been diagnosed with various forms of Autism and many present some elements of challenging behaviour. They need support with both communication and interaction to ensure they can create relationships with peers, staff, and the wider community.
