An SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Middlesbrough are in need of a science teacher to commence in the new academic year, initially you will hold this position until October half term however there is potential for extension. The role will consist of working with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils who are not in mainstream education for various reasons including challenging behaviour, social anxiety, ODD and ADHD. Experience managing challenging behaviour is mandatory and you will be confident working within pupil referral unit settings. You will also be confident teaching up to Key Stage 4 Science across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, however most of the students are working at more of a Functional Skills Level.
