Do you have experience managing young people and wish to develop this in a classroom environment? Perhaps you are considering a career in teaching and want to build on this? A Manchester based secondary SEMH school are currently looking to recruit an Academic Mentor to join their support team from April 2021 on a temporary basis to provide 1:1 and small group subject support, SEMH support and well-being support to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. As an Academic Mentor, you will provide tailored support including: One-to-one and small group tuition Revision Lessons Additional wellbeing and SEMH support Mentoring linked to the curriculum Subject areas that we recruit Academic Mentors for include; English, Maths, Science, Primary – Literacy and Numeracy (Nurture), and Additional Learning Needs.


Do you have experience in working alongside children who present challenging behaviour? Are you able to build relationships and help children to engage in class? Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working alongside a number of SEMH provisions in Stockport who are looking to add behaviour experienced Teaching Assistants to their team when schools are scheduled to reopen after February half term 2021. The school is seeking an individual with a background in SEMH who can work with pupils with challenging behaviour.


Teaching Assistant required for SEMH provision in East Manchester. Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a school in Stockport that caters for pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support within their school. Your new role This school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work across various age groups, ages 5 - 14 years old.


Core Subjects Tutor Teaching Personnel are looking for Core Subject Tutors in English, Maths & Science to work with Looked After Children in and around Greater Manchester, particularly at the moment in Stockport and Oldham. However, area is not a factor now as tuition would be for online virtual sessions and then when COVID restrictions change in the future, to have the flexibility to attend the home environment where necessary would be desirable. Teaching Personnel work with Residential Care Homes and Local Authorities on various assignments to provide 1:1 tuition with young people that for various reasons cannot be within or attend mainstream education. This could be for reasons such as pregnancy, bullying, SEMH or behavioural/anxiety needs, unaccompanied children seeking asylum or children that require booster sessions to be able to return to the school environment.
