Teaching Personnel are closely partnered with Local Authorities and SEN services in and around Portsmouth to deliver 1:1 tuition to pupils awaiting school placements. We have seen an increased demand for qualified teachers to assist young people who are not receiving the right support from mainstream education. This tuition primarily covers core subjects (English & Maths) from EYFS through to GCSE level. We encourage teachers from all background to apply and experience working with young people in care and SEND is advantageous.

Shortlisted

The School We are currently recruiting for a core subjects tutor in English, Maths and Science, to work with looked after Children in the Portsmouth area. You will be working through the local authority on various assignments providing 1:1 tuition with young people that for whatever reason cannot be within mainstream education. This could be for several reasons from bullying, SEMH or behavioural needs, pregnancy, or unaccompanied children seeking asylum. The candidate The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality, and be able to work on their own initiative in regards to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children.
