Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience working with students with ASC and PMLD (Autism Spectrum Condition & Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties)? Are you seeking a new role from this academic year? Teaching Personnel are working alongside a special needs secondary school in Rochdale to recruit Teaching Assistants to work specifically with students with ASC and PMLD. The Role Supporting students with ASC/PMLD across a range of subjects.


Teaching Personnel are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to work closely with pupils with various learning difficulties. SEN Teaching Assistants support students and allow them to achieve their full potential by working alongside key school staff. Your role would involve undertaking structured, personalised learning programmes, both on a 1-1 basis and a small group basis, taking into consideration individual pastoral support to pupils. This Rochdale based Secondary school caters for pupils aged 11-19 with various needs such as MLD, PMLD and Autism.


Are you looking for your next step as a Teaching assistant? Would you like to work in ‘Ofsted' graded ‘outstanding' schools? We are currently working with ‘Outstanding' Primary and Secondary schools in Rochdale and Tameside and they are currently looking to employ Teaching Assistants to support in their schools in the new academic year when support will be needed for young people with SEMH and Autism. Ideally the successful candidate will have the relevant training and experience of working with Special Educational Needs.


Youth Worker The successful Youth Worker will support students in class as well as in small groups outside of the classroom to raise student attainment and progress. They will act as a positive role model to students across all year groups and will provide targeted behaviour support to individual students when required. Previous experience working as a Youth Worker is preferred; however schools would consider applications from candidates with transferable experiences or skills, such as Sports Coaching or Tutoring. Previous experience of supporting vulnerable or challenging young people is desirable.
