SEN Teachers required for Supply Teaching in Primary & Secondary SEN Schools in Oldham & Tameside. Teaching Personnel work with specialist SEN schools and provisions across Greater Manchester and offer full-time and part-time supply teaching jobs for experienced SEN teachers and NQTs in special education and alternative education and are working with a cluster of specialist SEN schools across Tameside and Oldham. Demand for Secondary trained Teachers with knowledge and experience of supporting students with additional needs (in particular Autism, MLD and SLD) at the moment is high and Teaching Personnel are looking for local based Teachers that are looking for supply work. Due to current circumstances, our partner schools are currently looking for teachers to support exclusively with their school, working across different classrooms where needed, but being the first port of call for supply needs for their school.


Are you looking for your next step as a Teaching assistant? Would you like to work in ‘Ofsted' graded ‘outstanding' schools? We are currently working with ‘Outstanding' primary and secondary schools in Oldham and Tameside and they are currently looking to employ Teaching Assistants to support in their schools in the new academic year when support will be needed for young people with SEMH and Autism. Ideally the successful candidate will have the relevant training and experience of working with special educational needs.


Teaching Personnel is looking for a Mentor with in-depth knowledge of ASD, and experience supporting individuals with SEN. We are looking for someone who can be resilient and independent in managing children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, and pro-active in finding different ways to build a good working relationship with them. The role can sometimes be split between the whole classroom and breakout/intervention spaces. Some pupils need support to apply themselves to academic activities, and require prompts and interventions to help them with communication and following instructions.


Teaching Personnel are currently working with schools across greater Manchester area who can provide support to children and young people with a range of additional needs to help improve pupils abilities academically, socially and mentally. We are looking for confident candidates who would be able to work with young people 1:1 and in small groups to: Improve confidence and work to break down emotional barriers to learning Build great rapport and connect with individuals to work towards reaching their highest potential in the classroom The successful candidate will: Be able to use strategies to de-escalate a situation before it reaches crisis point (Team Teach training would be beneficial) Have experience working with children or young people with ADHD, ASD, SEBD or SEMH is crucial Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one - If you require a new DBS we will guide you through the application process Be patient and confident in dealing with challenging behaviours Be able to work on your own initiative and be able to think on your feet Have a genuine passion to improve the lives of young people Have an innovative and creative approach to teaching and learning To be considered for this excellent opportunity, please apply with an up to date copy of your CV  All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
