Behaviour Support Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently working alongside a Specialist SEN School in Swansea, who are looking to assign a Specialist SEN Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The school caters for pupils aged 3-19 with complex physical and sensory impairments. It will be your role to support pupils to access a highly bespoke and tailored curriculum. You must have experience of supporting young people or adults with physical disabilities and/or additional needs.


we are currently working alongside one of our partner Cardiff Secondary Schools that are looking to recruit a Behaviour assistant for a position working withing the Secondary School's specialist behaviour base. As a Behaviour Buddy, you will need to have the ability to build strong, trusting and stable relationships with young people, and be consistent in your approach to behaviour management. Although this role will mainly be on a 1:1 basis you will often be asked to support with small group interventions within the behaviour provision and on occasions have to support the pupils in the mainstream classes as the school look to integrate these pupils on a phased basis. The School have specified the need for someone with some life experience, that can lend their experiences to the support of these pupils.
