Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Maths Teacher at an alternative education setting in Wakefield The position is on a full-time basis. The school is currently open. The setting caters for learners with an EHCP plan for Social Emotional and Mental Health needs as well as other complex needs. Responsibilities: • Ideally a driver • Teaching or learning qualification • Worked with vulnerable pupils in alternative education settings- leading activities/educational based work • Experience of dealing with challenging behaviours • Ability to teach a wide range of abilities, from KS 2-4.


SEND Learning mentors offer support and guidance to children and young people who experience difficulties with their learning. As a learning mentor working for Protocol Education, you'll work closely with children who are struggling with social, emotional or behavioural problems that impact their ability to learn. You'll work alongside teachers and other staff, figuring out the needs of learners who require help and how to overcome barriers that are preventing them from achieving their full potential. The aim of our school is to provide an inspired and practical learning environment with a focus upon success and the development of citizenship and life skills. This role requires perseverance, confidence and determination as you may need to handle challenging situations strongly, therefore you will need to be prepared.
