Teaching Assistants / Learning Mentors - Wakefield (WF7/8/9 Area) A specialist school on the outskirts of Wakefield are looking for Teaching Assistants and learning mentors to work within their school with a view to going permanent. The school are requiring extra staff due to an increase in student referrals to work 1:1 and in the general classroom assisting with learning. This role will involve working on a 1:1 level and some group work with students who have Autism, face physical challenges or have other mental health difficulties and you will work alongside another support staff and the Teacher. You will be helping with their class work, carrying out pastoral duties and ensuring their mental health is protected.

Primary Teachers (SEMH/ASC KS1 & KS2 East Wakefield We are looking for experienced SEND Primary Teachers that specialise, or are experienced working with children with special needs such as Autism (ASD) or students that have difficulty accessing a mainstream curriculum as they present with Socio Emotional Mental Health conditions (SEMH). As a SEND Teacher working in an alternative setting you will be required to work with SEND students across all key stages 1 or 2 in one of the many alternative settings we work closely with. You may be a mainstream teacher that is looking to change into a SEND environment who has excellent classroom management and wanting to work within an alternative setting. The role can be challenging yet very rewarding and you will need to be resilient as no two days are the same.
