Join the support department of special schools this academic year supporting identified pupils with SEN/SEMH needs. SEN schools and Alternative provisions in Rochdale wish to appoint a number of specialist teaching assistants with experience working with students who display challenging behaviour and have additional learning needs. - Full time and part time opportunities available, ASAP start dates - Working with small groups of pupils and some 1:1 support - Working with pupils with various SEN, such as ASC, PMLD or SEMH needs - which can sometimes lead to challenging behaviours - De-escalating challenging situations - Reinforcing the schools behaviour policy - Supporting in the classes across the alternative curriculum - Pay up to GBP325 per week It is essential that you have a teaching assistant qualification (either Level 1, 2, 3 or HLTA qualified) and previous experience working with young people who display SEN, and are willing to complete further training.
