We are closely partnered with several local authorities to support disadvantaged children who are not currently in education. Our aim is to narrow or close their learning gaps by providing 1:1 home tuition until a school placement becomes available. We are currently seeking skilled Primary/SEN Tutors to work with KS1-KS4 pupils. As a 1:1 tutor you will plan, develop and provide individualised programmes for students in their home environment.
Autism Support What you need to know about the school: The school support young people's to develop their emotional wellbeing and social skills. As an Autism Support assistant you will support the school to develop students to cope better with the things they find challenging whether this is during their school day or at home. The successful Autism Support assistant will help establish positive and healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills. The school are currently on the look out for an additional teaching assistant to work through us initially with the likelihood of a permanent contract after a specific amount of time.
We are working exclusively with a number of Mainstream, SEN and Alternative Provision Schools in Portsmouth and are currently seeking to appoint staff available for a post-Easter start. A number of the Schools we support with their recruitment, cater for pupils who are unable to access mainstream education, therefore the students may have the following SEN needs: Autism (ASC) Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) ADHD Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) Attachment Disorders Global Development Delay (GDD) Behavioural Difficulties The position will involve working 1:1 or in small groups with the students. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working with special needs pupils. We are looking for Teaching Assistants and support workers in the Portsmouth area that have experience working with students with mental health issues. if you have relevant experience with adults this would also be desirable.
