We are therefore seeking qualified teachers (QTS) who will be eager to make a substantial, high quality and sustained contribution to the learning and teaching at an SEN School The School caters to children and young people aged 3-19, with severe and complex learning difficulties, with most of the students having an additional diagnosis of autism (ASC) and/or physical and sensory difficulties. What will be expected of you? To plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a high standard of performance To organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive and safe learning environment To lead and work with a class team, and as a member of other teams To prepare materials to support class/group activities at the appropriate levels To work with colleagues to devise and implement individual programmes to raise individual achievement To work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that programmes are appropriate to individual needs and support the learner To manage subject/curriculum resources within the classroom and within defined subject areas To undertake all appropriate assessment and record-keeping To undertake training appropriate to the functions of the post, and to liaise with Subject and Aspect Leads to identify subject training appropriate to the needs of teaching and support staff You must be available to work asap.
