We are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work in a rewarding primary school in Lambeth. This supportive school are looking for teaching assistant to start in September who are keen to work within the education sector and are passionate about supporting students with special needs. This role will be a long term role working the full academic year and possibly longer. As a teaching assistant you will supporting students with a variety of special needs that include autism, speech & language difficulties and other complex needs.
1:1 Learning Support Assistant Long-term/Full-time £70-£85 a day 5 days per/week Specialist school for children aged 14-18 with additional needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) Excellent experience for aspiring SEND Teachers, Educational Psychologists, Child psychologists and Counsellors Ongoing training on offer We are working with a specialist schools for both primary and secondary age children who have a range social, emotional / mental health needs as well as challenging behaviour and moderate learning difficulties. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with specific children who display challenging behaviour and need extra support with their learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring SEN Teachers, counsellors or educational psychologists to gain more experience and have an influence on the education experience of a specific child that is struggling educationally and emotionally. Requirements: - Experience working with vulnerable youth ideal but not necessary - Experience with traditional SEN/challenging behavior ideal but not necessary - Experience working with children on a 1:1 basis ideal but not necessary - Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant - Calm, patient and understanding personalities who can build strong relationships with children The school will be trialing and interviewing now so quick action is a must.
