Job Title: Teaching Assistant 1-1

Pay Range: £64 - £70 per day

Location: Rumney, Cardiff (CF23)

Start Date: ASAP (until end of term with potential to extend in September for right person)

Working Hours: 8.30 – 15.30 (with half hour break)

Role Responsibilities

You will be working on a 1-1 basis with a pupil in Year 1 who requires additional support. The child is not disruptive in class but tends to wonder off so you will be keeping him on track in lessons and ensure his safety. For the right candidate this will be a really rewarding role with the opportunity to really help the child with his studies and life in general. This role will start as soon as vetting and clearance is completed.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant

You will have experience of working with a child on a 1-1 basis, this can be in your working or private life. The ideal candidate will also have experience with working with Foundation phase children and understand their needs. You will have a personality that allows you to steer the child back on track if required.

About the School

The school based in CF23 is relatively large with close to 400 pupils. It is a welcoming school that wants its staff to feel part of a wider aim and commitment. It has good transport links from the city centre.

You Will Need

• Child Only Enhanced DBS (We can help you obtain this)
• Registered with the Education Workforce Council (Likewise we can help with this)
• Experience working with children in a professional or personal capacity
