Job description

We are seeking a Support Worker / Teaching Assistant for a school based in Leyton (E10) to support a child on a 1:1 basis with challenging behaviour as well as working as a general teaching assistant supporting students with additional needs.

The role of Support Worker / Teaching Assistant will be split 50/50 across working outside the classroom with the student on a 1:1 basis and working in the class supporting students alongside the class teacher.

Due to the nature of this role, experience of working with students with behaviour challanges and or learning difficulties is highly desirable.

Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant previously is not required for this role, applications are welcome from candidates who have experience of working in a Pupil Referal Unit, Sports Coaching, Support Work, Youth Work as these roles all carry transferable skills and experience so please do apply if you are experienced in any of these areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
